This disclaimer is curated by Yorkshire Electric Scooters. Throughout this document, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Yorkshire Electric Scooters Ltd.. Yorkshire Electric Scooters Ltd. offers this disclaimer, including all information, rules and regulations available to you, the customer. The terms of this document come into effect once made present to the customer, meaning, a signature of this document is not required.

With the current stance of the UK regulations regarding E-Scooters, this document is made present to protect, you, the rider, and us, the business. Please read through each point carefully and agree to the disclaimer.

We are actively making efforts to legalise E-scooters, however, It is currently illegal to ride E-Scooters / some E-Bikes on public roads and pavements. Please keep this in mind before you purchase an E-Scooter as you must abide by the UK law and the ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1988. The use of E-Scooters is allowed on private land if you, the rider, has permission to use the E-Scooter on the private land.

We are making this document available to you, so you are aware of your responsibility as a rider, and customer of Yorkshire Electric Scooters Ltd.

 

WE ARE NOT LIABLE IF:

  • The rider sustains injuries while riding / using the vehicle provided by us.
  • The rider inflicts damage to other people / property while riding / using the vehicle
  • Any fines / charges made to the rider from using the E-Scooter
  • Any action regarding E-Scooters that results in a claim.
  • Any modifications of a scooter which result in injury or damage

 

YOU, AS THE RIDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CHARGES, FINES AND DAMAGES MADE TO YOU.

 

WHAT WE RECOMMEND:

  • All riders wear suitable protection, I.E Helmets, shin-pads, elbow pads.
  • Riders must be 18+ or with an accompanied adult.
  • Riders hold a full driving license and are aware of the highway code and road traffic act 1988.
  • Riders only use private land with permission from the landowner.
  • Stop and answer to the police when asked to do so.
  • Do not modify your E-Scooter.
  • Respect others and their opinion of E-Scooters
